Insan Hitawasana Sejahtera (IHS) is social science research and consulting firm based in Jakarta, Indonesia. The company was established in August 1991 to help fill what the principals saw as a shortfall in the number of domestic firms specializing in social policy and program analysis, including cross cutting issues of poverty, gender and governance. Over the ensuing years, IHS has developed the capability to provide consulting and research services at international standard in the social sciences with an emphasis on social policy analysis related to human, regional and national development. IHS skills and services have been directed primarily at the public sector and at international agencies. However, we have also engaged in work for the private sector in areas such as business demography and human resource planning.
